connection between the two, and providing theoretical and practical tools for self
growth based upon psychological and spiritual models.
In this seminar we will focus on the meaning of psychology in comparison to
spirituality: What are their unique teachings, what do they have in common and how can we integrate them?
Psychology & Spirituality are wonderful realms of thought and experience that can
be used to promote self growth and create a deeper, clearer connection with who
you truly are. In order to achieve exactly that, this seminar will combine practical
exercises with theoretical knowledge to deepen your awareness of your Self.

of peace and calm while at the same time allowing you to engage with yourself at
deeper levels. It is an important tool in our journey of self-discovery and therefore
invites us to grow. Following the practice in class we will discuss our experiences with
meditation and allow time to contemplate and ask questions.
Meditation is an important dimension of spirituality and therefore we will ask: What
does meditation mean? How can we achieve this altered state of consciousness?
Why is it beneficial to our lives?
The psychological equivalence of Meditation is “flow”. The experience of flow
happens when you are fully connected to the situation - you are not thinking of
anything, you are simply there, present, and consumed by whatever it is that you
do. Time disappears, hunger is forgotten, needs do not exist – it is oneness with the
activity. The topic of flow has been researched extensively in Positive Psychology
and has been associated with higher levels of happiness. During this session we will
understand the meaning of it and how to achieve more of it.
